| It seems like IMAX is trying to put some "pep" into the Projectionist Forum based on what I saw in the recent survey. Personally, I enjoy the pages but don't always post as much as I should. (1570.com is my preference at the moment.) |

Well, I don't post there for three reasons: #1: My password stopped working for some reason, and the new one I asked for didn't work right; #2: The design of the site is cumbersome, unintuitive, and a pain to use; and, last, but not least... #3: You can't post anonymously, so I don't really think a thorough and complete discussion on any topic can ensue when people are worried about "Big Brother's" reaction. Let's face it, no one is going to say anything negative about Imax when your name is attached and your putting on THEIR Website. |

| I agree, although I feel that the "anonymous" feature can be overused. What I found most intersting was that 20% of the questions had to do with 1570.com. I'd have to say that 1570 is the better site. |

| I'm not sure how to get into the official Imax forum...Since switching back from "The Other I-Company", I have left email inquiring about how to register -- I have heard nothing. Hey Imax...Ya out there? |

| Try an e-mail to affiliates@imax.com or to cwillsher@imax.com that should do the trick |

I received a number of E-mail messages (in addition to the post above) bringing the presence of 1570.com questions on the IMAX Affiliate survey to my attention. I consider it a great accomplishment that 1570.com has come far enough to be noticed by one of the big players in the industry, but it's no time for rest... I still want this forum to grow! In addition to my request for all GSTA attendees to "tell-a-friend" while at the conference, I'd like to call your attention to the 1570.com Home Page, where you'll find a short survey of my own. If you've not filled it out already, please take a few minutes to do so. Your answers will help create an even more effective industry communication tool, and as if that weren't enough, you'll be entered into a drawing for one of three $25 Barnes and Noble gift certificates. Don't delay. The drawing for the gift certificates will take place from all surveys submitted by September 26, 1999 at Midnight Eastern time. |

| I'm aware that certain high ranking IMAX executives frequently read through the Communication Center on 1570.com. I'm posting anonymously, because these execs gave me a hard time about finding my numerous postings on this site. You know what I'm talking about, Mr. Di Natale and "friend". By the way, how's the weather in Mississauga? ;) |

| Just to comment on post #2 up there, I think it's important to point out that even if IMAX did have an anonymous post feature, one could only assume that their identity is withheld from other readers/posters. I'm sure it would be trivial for IMAX to get your identity from their own system. Unless the IMAX folks can identify your writing style, you're only safe on 1570.com |

Two things... (and don't worry, I'm not going to switch into big-red-type mode): 1) I take confidentiality quite seriously on 1570.com. If a post is made anonymously, you can rest assured that it will stay that way. I will be reiterating this stand on the new 1570 site that will debut in just a few short weeks (October 21st or sooner), along with adding a couple new features that will take anonimity to the next level. 2) Time is running out to fill out the 1570.com Survey and be entered in the drawing for one of three $25 Barnes and Noble gift certificates. Participation has already exceeded my expectations, but don't let that stop you from filling one out, if you've not already. The information compiled from this survey will be combined with existing plans to create the best large-format industry forum on the Internet. Deadline: September 26, 1999 - Midnight Eastern. Thanks again for your support! |
