Has any one out there heard the rumour that the Ogden group is being split up and its divisions sold off separately? What would this mean for Ogden Entertainment's large format interests? |

| If Ogden splits up, it will probably be splitting its energy and aerospace operations from its entertainment division. I don't think that will effect 1570 production and operations so much as the fact that Ogden's LBE concepts, like American Wilderness and Tinseltown Studios aren't quite living up to the company's expectations. |

I should have joined this forum a long time ago! As has been recently publicly announced, Ogden has retained an investment banker to explore a re-organization into two separate Ogden companies. 'Energy' would be one, Aviation and Entertainment would together comprise the other. Ogden's large format business is intact, and growing. We continue to develop and operate theatres, and invest in and distribute films. |

Ogden Corporation announced on September 17 that it intends to "sell or otherwise dispose of" all of its entertainment and aviation businesses. Large format film & theatre (my division) is part of the much larger Entertainment group (about $500 million revenue) that the parent company now wishes to sell. The ultimate buyer for the entertainment company will decide what the plans are for large format, along with all of the other Ogden entertainment properties. Until then, I want to emphasize we are still in the LF business, and still very actively distributing The Old Man and the Sea. |
