The software that runs the 1570 Directory of Industry Professionals has been updated (again).
THE GOOD NEWS
The new system allows users to choose their own login name/password, as well as update their listing instantly at any time.
THE BAD NEWS
Information must be re-entered into the system again via a visit to:
http://1570.org/cgi-bin/pm/login.htm
I apologize for the inconvenience, and possible multiple-notifications of this note you may have received. I want to ensure that everyone who wants to be in the directory is in the directory. Please tell/remind your industry friends.

Some additional clarification of how the features of the 1570 site are currently setup (polite way of saying that I write poorly):
Each area of 1570:
• Communication Center (bulletin board)
• Directory of Industry Professionals
• Free E-mail (@1570.net)
operate using DIFFERENT servers running different programs. The logins may be the same for each area if the user sets them up that way, but they may be different. Confusing? Yes, I know it is.
I am working to consolidate user names and passwords by utilizing a new database. If you receive/d the message that "you don't have permission to do this" when logging into the new Directory, please submit a new registration.
When things have settled, I will make your Communication Center login match what is in the Directory of Industry Professionals. You will receive E-mail notification when this is to occur.
I apologize for the confusion. Please contact me if I'm still not making sense. |
