I noticed a sudden lack of postings by regulars of 1570.com Apparently, some of my friends & colleagues in corporate IMAX theaters have been ordered NOT to post anything on this site. I always thought it was a matter of time until Imax took their ball and went home. I guess "The Brad & Rich Show" can't handle the bad reviews anymore. Well I'm going to continue my postings. The rest of us won't go away! |

Hmmm..... I work at an O&O, and no one has told me not to post anything on this site. And, besides, this wouldn't make sense because all they'd have to do is post Anonymously anyway, right? (Personally, I haven't been posting much because I haven't had any problems lately. :) My Theater's been up and running for a few months now and we really haven't had any problems at all. Knock on film cabinet, LOL.) |

| i am a former imax employee who was ordered by 'higher ups' not to post anything on here while i was still working there. i now work in an industry related job where i hold my job over my name being posted. however, i have taken advantage of the anonomous posting option. thanks film jockey. |

Think about it folks. If you were a co-CEO whose principal shareholder told you to SELL the company to someone else,(and fast!), you would be very concerned about ANY information that could dampen investor enthusiasm for the stock price. You would know that for all your expensive and gifted financial, legal and PR handlers, you cannot control what is being said in various chat rooms or message boards on the Internet. You would know that a prospective buyer doing his proper "due dilligence" would absolutley look at this outstanding 15/70.com site, as well Yahoo's very busy "Imax" message board whose participants really sling the dirt, often with good hard facts. So if you are that co-CEO, you would be very, very concerned about this, terrified really, and would be sorely tempted to instruct, and yes, maybe intimidate your staff to stay away from these or other message boards. Also, many Imax staffmembers own shares and stock options, so they have some incentive to comply! Are the Imax senior managers capable of putting the muzzle on employees? Have they in the past? Have they been aggressive against non-employees who have dared contradict or criticize their commercial practices? Of course they have. If your one true, consistent motivation behind all that you do over six years is to 'market' the share price to the highest level possible, what else would you do? |
